MGM unveils plans for possible National Harbor casino -- Gazette.Net
Whoever works at MGM will need to up their game. I can guarantee MGM won't tolerate low quality of service. If they are thinking internationally and nationally (5 star), the okey doke service we experience in this area will not be tolerated. I'm sure our PG workers are up to the task. I just hope they aren't expecting their jobs to be a cake walk.

Along the Woodrow Wilson Bridge terminating somewhere behind National Harbor (you need about a half mile of track for trains to switch tracks and go in the other direction). I imagine it would be a very small simple platform station as well.

Are you thinking behind the Gaylord or by OHR?

If it's the terminus of the Yellow Line, behind OHR to store the trains.

Remember that the 5 M a year for the first 5 to 10 years is supposed to go to infrastructure. That could contribute.

Big time.....The Hollywood proposal is pretty bland and in all honest I don't trust their intent. My thought is that they are only trying to is make sure they recapture what they are loosing in WV. Parx is cool but this will be there second casino...I don't think they have the experience to play in a market other than local/regional at the moment.

Quick Commercial break......three more stores have been added to the Tanger line-up: ELIE TAHARI
Charlotte Russe Outlet and Diane von Furstenberg. I am not familiar with them so I am not sure how they rank in terms of upscale etc. Can anyone provide some insight on their calibur?
Definitely Upscale

When the average price of a shirt is over $100, I'd call that upscale. lol

Yeah I agree lol......I'm not familiar with the brand though. It would be interesting to see how popular those stores will be.

As I am considering Tanger and the proposed MGM project, I wonder what hotel brand will be built in the location next to the outlet center. I also wonder when will they break ground on that phase. My assumption is that they will time it to open in 2016 with the MGM project. Any thoughts

Isn't there a children's museum expansion supposed to happen......also if they someone could get the national aquarium downtown to relocate to the harbor on the parcel of land south of gaylord that would be a huge win for the development.

@urbanscholar- I would assume we will here alot of big news in the next 2 months to coincide with the MGM announcement as well.
