Ahhhh. Sounds like they'll add another sneak preview tomorrow, and then release the full details on Wednesday. Good idea to get the public excited ahead of time.

Yeah that's what it sounds like to me too. Considering that the nimbys are going to be in full force at the hearings it is a good idea to get it out so that supporters can come prepared too. I'm thinking that Greenwood and PN will follow suit with whatever plans they will present. Good deal.......my curiosity was killing me.

Talk about PR, just looking at their Facebook page it seems as though they are really getting involved with the community. They were a sponsor of the;

1. Hispanic Festival
2. Mentoring to Manhood.
3. Prince George’s County Branch of the NAACP's 25th Annual Hester V. King Freedom Fund Gala
4. The Arc of Prince George’s County 20th Annual Golf Tournament
5. Prince George's County Public Schools Back To School Fair
etc.
etc.

Say what you will about the negative impacts of casinos, but I think this MGM development will change a lot of negative perceptions and can provide a lot of support to the local community where there otherwise wouldn't be any.

Yeah and they are consistent with it. They do the same in LV and Detroit for sure. Haven't looked up what they did in AC

I agree but I have to remind myself that these are small pieces of a bigger picture so am going to reserve full judgement for the full release tomorrow (hopefully).

Default Finally

They just posted the video and renderings. My first impression is that it compliments the harbor well and will make a grand entrance to the harbor from OHR. My favorite part is the tower and the dancing fountain near the OHR side. I would have liked to seen something that was a little more walkable but given the space, that would have been hard to pull off. The eco design of the main buidling doesn't grab me but its nice and conforms to LEED design. It also reminds me of the base of a pyramid. Not a bad thing just different from what I envisioned. I am really interested in seeing some interior renderings and getting a little more detail on the retail space and proposed restaurants. Overall thumbs up though.....and a slam dunk in my book.... Its going to be hard for PNG and Greenway to top it based off what they have shown so far
