Nice to see a new name in this thread. Keep us posted on your forecast and what happens. I think we're all (or most) are itching to put winter behind us

just about all of Vermont is snow-covered. Anywhere at elevation has 2+ inches of water on the ground in a solid sate

Lower elevations are just mud now ha ha. This is the THIRD mud season of this year. It's horrible. The freeze/thaw cycle has been brutal. Even though the weather will be gorgeous for a few days, it's hard to enjoy it when there's mud everywhere.

More mud today with the rains.

30s midday in April with rains. Not a favorite thing of mine.

Nope. It's quite horrific. Coming down pretty hard right now.

On the plus side, the snow in my yard should all be gone by tomorrow.

For Vermont..

National Weather Service Burlington VT
743 AM EDT Fri Apr 7 2017

As colder air moves in, rain showers will change to snow
showers, starting at high elevations of the Adirondacks and
lowering throughout the evening. By midnight, expect most areas
of northern NY and VT to see snow or snow mixing with rain. Even
the broad valleys will see at least a mix of rain and snow by
Saturday morning. Lows Friday night/Saturday morning generally
near 32F.

As the low continues to pull away Saturday, areal coverage of
showers will diminish, focusing around the terrain and adjacent
western slopes. Temperatures should warm up enough for all but
summits to see precip change back to rain briefly before
tapering off. Max temperatures will range from the mid 30s to
mid 40s. Snowfall amounts of generally a dusting to a couple
tenths of an inch in the broad valleys. Between 500-2000ft,
expect 1-3 inches of snowfall. Above 2000ft, generally expect
2-4 inches with locally higher amounts at the summits.

8:20am radar... Imagine being in the mountains of Virginias seeing snow. I think that's pretty cool.

Drizzling in Vermont, snowing in West Virginia right now. lol Cold air rushing in now into New England as the Upper Low moves overhead.

2-4" on ground in Ohio there.

Normal low is 32° Burlington and Bennington. 28° for Morrisville. By end of month normal low is 40° for Burlington. Mid-Upper 30s elsewhere.

The sun does feel good. Why does it feel like we been in winter for like 20 yrs.

I'm so tired of mid 30s now. Loading the wood stove still for heat. Had it on most of yesterday and overnight. Ugh.

7:30am temps with sun up.

Even cold and below normal down south with 30s and 40s around. The 42 in Gainesville Florida is 15 below normal for this hour.

Yesterday was in the mid-60s, today it (according to NWS Albany's reading for Keene NH) reached 80.
Tomorrow is forecast to be similarly warm, then storm/rain in evening with a turn back to cooler temps.
Enjoying the sun & mildness for sure
