Yes. It is a very Italianate city due to its colonial history. It also has some excellent modernist architecture as well.

A Big Friendly Giant whispered in my ear and told me this was Cardiff, Wales, which was the hometown of Roald Dahl, author of such renowned children’s books such as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda, James and the Giant Peach, and of course, the BFG. My daughter received his complete box set of books (from Santa) at Christmas, so I showed her the city on the map after she read his autobiographical book “Boy.” Look forward to visiting there with her in the next decade.

It certainly is Cardiff. Rather a unique look to it from the air in my opinion.
