OK,

Search Results - THOMAS (Library of Congress)

The House passed H.R.3548.EH

Now the Senate has to pass H.R.3548.PCS.

Then President Obama will sign it into law.

Can anyone answer this question regarding the administration of HR 3548 - If you have exhausted tier I and tier II of your EEUC and you are currently coming to the end of your EB; will you still be eligible for tier III that is in the new HR 3548 bill? (I'm in Indiana) Tx

The House of Representatives passed the Bill.

Ok I've recieved the original 26 weeks and I'm just about done with the 20 week extension in MI.

Questions:

Can I get another 13?
My benefit year ends 1/20/2010....do I have to refile all over again then?
Doesn't it also go by how much money you made on the 5 previous quarters on the original claim?

I need help with questions!! I am in minnesota and was working construction for 10 years and never recieved umemployment insurace before. I was laid off in jan 09 and have been recieving unemployment since then. I have exhausted my regular ui and am now on tier one for 20 weeks which will be ending in 3 weeks. I am just very confused if I will be recieving a tier 2 extension for 13 weeks, and the newest 13 week addition. I have called the mn ui hotline 2 times and I got through all prompts and wait for operator to get an automated voice to tell me to call back later!!! My account says I needed to make $4000 since I was unemployed to recieve additional unemployment benefits......seems quite odd to me! any help would be appreciated!

As long as you have exhausted your Tier 1 benefits you will receive 14 weeks under Tier 2 (13 weeks originally + 1 week added as part of HR 3548). Since this will carry you through January 1st, it is still unclear whether you will qualify for Tier 3 (13 additional weeks added through HR 3548) unless Congress extends the December 31, 2009 deadline. Hope this helps.

Hello again,

I found information pertaining to "Two new EUC extensions were passed by Congress and signed by the President on Friday, November 6, 2009" on the Michigan Unemployment Insurance Agency's website (http://www.michigan.gov/uia)

http://www.michigan.gov/documents/ui...9_300228_7.pdf

I will post this document in full in my next post (incase the above link becomes inoperable).

Later,

Paul
