I think I found out why none of the CA EDD people are collecting unemployment - half of them are sitting around making up rules that make this all very confusing and the other half are spending 20 hours a week attending in-service training to figger out what the other half wrote ...

Just to see if I've got this down right about the pending extension, my claim started on 8-2-09, that ran out 2-4-10, with a zero balance. got a check for the last two weeks and instead of a claim form, a notice that I might qualify, yada, yada, yada, they'll file automatically for me if I'm eligible. Couple of days later I found out I qualified, received a new claim form showing a new claim balance, filled it out and continued on without missing a beat.
That was the start of Tier 1, it just ran out, final week 6-24-10, just as expected and the same way as before.

My question - does moving to Tier 2 depend on this pending bill in the Senate?

Tom
