please let me know if anyone went through this also. today was the day to claim my last unemployment benefits for my regular unemployment. i went online to claim it, filled everything out, clicked submit, and then the website went down. i tried to redo it, then it said i had no claim under that social security number.

i figured it went through and i had zero balance left, but i was worried if it didn't go through. i called an unemployment agent. told her what happened. she said, that may have happened because that was my last check. anyways, she processed it and told me to call next week (next thursday) to claim my benefits (extension), than i can start doing it online again 2 weeks after. so i think i have my extension.

when most of you got your first extension, did you have to call to claim benefits 1 week later to get the first check of your extension? i figure it's because i only had money left over in my regular unemployment for one check so i do it one week later (next thursday). after your balance for regular employment was up,..did they mail you the next file claim date papers? or is that only after i call for a check next thursday? thanks in advance. by the way, i live in nj

I didn't have to do anything when switching from 26-week state unemployment to Tier 1 EUC. I received a letter from the state saying I qualified for Tier 1, and how much the weekly benefit rate was, and the total amount of money for the whole tier. My transition went smoothly. In Pennsylvania, most of the unemployment transactions can be done online through their unemployment website. From filing new claims to bi-weekly claims.
