So far adding Kara as a 4th judge is no big deal and is it me or does it seem Simon has mellowed alittle?

I think that's part of the editing. Perhaps the producers are mostly showing Simon's comments when he has something "not so mean" to say.

Now that the show has been on for awhile I've decided that I'm not fond of the 4th judge. Nothing against Kara herself....it's just that it seems more confusing. It was easy when there were 3....2 of them say yes and you're off to Hollywood. Now it takes longer to decide on who goes and just isn't as interesting to me. Also, I don't like having to wait for all 4 judges. Guess I'm too impatient. Chop, chop!!!! Keep things moving along!

I feel similar in regards to the 4th judge..from what I've seen the past couple of weeks, they "the judges" don't act professional, as a person sings and well is not what they are looking for, the camera shows the judges laughing, rolling their eyes, placing their hands over their eyes, get the point, some the contestants may be lousy.....I must admit, but these ppl "judges" are "so called" professionals in the field "except" the Brit...no comment on his attitude, go home is what I would say to him...., but they must be making millions of dollars from American Idol... and act like asses at times....

I don't think that the 4th judge has added anything to the show. she seems to have good credentials, though we had never heard of her. Maybe her place to shine will be revealed as the show progresses. we will wait and see!

Ok, bikini ho had better not be put through.

no such luck. Guess that means that means you don't have to have talent, just look slightly decent in a bikini.

I can't believe they put the dude who was crying through and that other guy in shorts who can't sing and isn't that funny either.

That crying dude will NEVER be able to handle the pressure coming in his near future. They didn't do him any favors.
Unless of course it was an act

bikini chick is lame. I guess they let her through in the hopes that she will perform naked at some point.

I'm hearing a lot of blues talent. Loving that! One girl sounds like Janis which is always a pleaser for me.

I like oil-field guy, he's got a nice sounding voice. I hope he continues.

I like the funny guy w/ the sparkly shirt. He was funny but he could actually sing.

The guy who lost his wife had the most amazing voice. Loved it.
