Only saw a little bit of AI last night.
Saw the rocker dude that started to cry.......... BAD!
The guy that when he started to sing made a weird noise and you could not understand him. Later "fainted" in the hallway.
The chick w/ the multi colored hair and tatoo's.
A little bit of the bikini girl.

I really like the new judge, and she's certainly well-qualified. Wish I could say the same for most of the contestants trying out. I see some potential -- even in bikini girl -- but she really went a bit too far and ended up turning me off.

I don't know if I'm a fan of the 4th judge deal or not. Not Kara personally, but 4 of them just seems a bit overwhelming to me. I kind of like the way the Paula was in the middle of the 2 guys. It added more entertainment value I think. I don't feel they'll get rid of Paula. She adds too much entertainment to the show. I hadn't really noticed before this season, but did last night that you could kind of tell what Simon was thinking by his little grin. Whenever he had "the look" he gave the person a "yes". I liked the girl who Paula said had a Kelly Clarkson type quality. I also thought the guy who is blind did well. I'm a special ed teacher and all for people with disabilities doing anything they set their mind to, but I hope he just doesn't get the "sympathy vote", that he goes far just by talent alone.

Does anyone know how they pick who actually gets to try out out of all those thousands of people who are there to get a chance? Obviously it's not by talent!!!!

Anyway, the new judge, Kara - kinda boring so far. I have my suspisions she's only there as a replacement for crazy Paula and the next drama she's involved in that will finally get her kicked off the show for good.

As far as the contestants go, some were good and some were horrible as usual - but it seemed to be a lot less funny this year. I like the pinkish hair tattooed chick and the closet boy. The bikini chick that sang through her nose was just ridiculous and won't last 2 seconds in Hollywood.
Yeah, I agree. After watching, it is an hour or two spent heckling and doing nothing!!! But it is fun!! As for the new judge, I do think Paula's days are numbered, but then again, I think the show has jumped the shark anyway, and it's days as relevant are numbered.
The new judge does speak her mind! She seemed to me like she was trying hardcore last night to be "over the top" in terms of attitude, to make that big first impression.

While some were good, I'm not really too impressed. But then I remember that they don't always show all of the good ones- for example, I don't think they showed David Cook in the beginning of the shows. If they did, I didn't remember him.

I like Kara a lot. Nice to have a sane woman on there. And her voice is great. I liked the multi colored hair girl. Bikini girl looked like she'd be more comfy on a porn set. Her singing was NOT good.

That's because David Cook ain't that good! Bauck!!!!!!!!!!! He was forgettable then and he's forgettable now!

David Enchilada was the REAL WINNER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tonight, the guy with the white hat showed some talent. I think he tried a bit too hard, but he's got amazing range.
