My daughter tried out in season 5 and this season, but didn't make it past the first set of judges, but I was excited for her anyways to have the experience.
I only watched season 4 and on...season 5 very excited about Katherine McPhee, but this season tops it all....I am sure it's because of Adam.

Does anyone know what the format is tonight. When do they start singing two songs each?

No way! Your daughter tried for Idol?? Is she as adamant follower right now??

How many levels of judges do they have? If she made it through the first, would she be gone straight to Paula + Simon + Randy??

If they have a 2 hour show tonight, then technically it can accomodate 10 songs (5 singers x 2 songs each).

Only one song tonight. Boo! And Jaime Foxx is mentoring. They definitely need to go back to 3 judges.

Loved how Adam interrupted his song on Mookster's youtube vid to order chocolate, lol.

One song each - that means about 30 minutes worth of stupid ADS.

I don't get why so many say Danny's story is carrying him. They haven't mentioned it in weeks and frankly I forget about it most of the time. It's not like he starts every song w/ "I'm a widower".

That's a bummer. I didn't like Jamie Foxx even before he made those cruel remarks about Miley Cyrus. Besides, it's not like he has that much background in music compared to the people they usually get--not even close!

I ADORE Jamie Foxx. I love his comedy, his acting and his music. the Miley statements were dumb, but not as bad as several others have said in Hollywood.

He's a classically trained pianist w/ 3 hit albums. He's got 6 Grammy awards, 2 American Music awards, a BET award, tons of others. So I'm not sure why you'd say he doesn't have that much musical background.

Wow! I didn't know all that about Jamie Foxx! Honestly, I always think of him as a comedian. I guess I am getting old and out of the loop! Thanks for telling me this, because I was kind of wondering why they chose him too. Makes sense now.
