Maybe the "egg" is using them for food!

I've been watching this show. Interesting concept. I'd probably get claustrophobic, knowing I couldn't travel farther than ten miles without hitting a wall.

Same here, but two things do not make sense to me.
Being in the dome would be like a green house so they should be sweating.
When there is a fire particurly the propane fire, I grabbed a snow globe and shook it and told my partner wouldnt this happen.

I've been reading online, and the creators said there are about 2,000 people in the town. We haven't seen them al yet, so I'm guessing that's how they'll keep the show going. Last weeks episode was actually the best yet IMO. Even though I wish is was still a miniseries I'm going to stick with it for now.

Yes, exactly. Stephen King has managed to put a controversial and important subject into a form of written entertainment. I'm going to wait until the season ends and then I'll read the book. There are some differences with the characters and storylines in the book and I don't want to confuse it. I regret not reading it beforehand.

I would guess since its not solid, letting water in and out, in at least, it likely vents the atmosphere. The extra heat would pass out of the dome from the fire. It seems to be created as a biological barrier, but not an absolute one.

I wonder if those who left the egg live in domed villages and are providing the outer wall for it when it hatches. So then, what are the humans for? Is this like an insect species which lays its eggs in sealed nests until the hungry little ones emerge? I don't think the people are exactly 'food', too simple and doesn't fit, but do they provide something the egg and its hatchling proved they can feed off of?
