News, Jerry Sandusky replaced on Penn State mural with activist poet.

Jerry Sandusky hadn't been on the Heister Street mural in State College since the early days of the scandal that rocked Penn State. Now, the chair left vacant in the painting is being occupied by a poet who uses her work to raise awareness about sexual and domestic violence.

Artist Michael Pilato took Sandusky out of the mural, which features hundreds of Penn State figures throughout history, in November. In his place, Pilato painted a blue ribbon which symbolizes child abuse awareness. That wasn't enough for Pilato.

They could overlook just about anything to protect the all important athletic programs. There were many who had to know and did nothing. Shocking! Very shocking!

Wierd how Sandusky found overwhelmingly guilty....and his apologists claiming it was all some sort of conspiracy to make Penn State look bad have fled for their rocks.

Don't worry guys, Sandusky didn't make Penn State look bad.

Some of their alumni, die-hard football fans and employees made Penn State look bad.

Bad eggs can slip in anywhere. It's how you react when they are discovered that matters. Oh and that especially includes the people that threatened and harassed some of Sandusky's accusers. Grrrrrrrrr.........

Nah, if this had been a mens volleyball coach with a mediocre program it would have been dealt with long ago.

It's not all athletics, just when you get into successful programs with big big money attached....the danger goes wayyyyy up and some schools have stricter governance and no better than putting something like a football program above all else.

Lastly, how many schools put up bronzes and even murals of living and active football personnel on their campus?

Sadly he is going to be having a lot of fun in prison. Sure he is already the queen of the donky show and enjoying being the entertainer.

Wow. Emails coming out now in the perjury trial now shows that Paterno talked the administration out of going public about additional Sandusky incidents back in 2001. They were going to have him get counseling....

Holy cow. Paterno's legacy going down in flames.....

News, Joe Paterno’s Lying in Jerry Sandusky Abuse Case Further Taints His Legacy

The football legend claimed he merely passed reports of Jerry Sandusky’s offenses up the chain of command, but emails from Louis Freeh’s Penn State probe indicate he played a key role in his former assistant coach’s not being reported to authorities—and lied about it.

Otherwise, based on new information from a CNN story by Susan Candiotti, he would be facing possible indictment for perjury. Along with former Penn State University president Graham Spanier. Along with two high-ranking former Penn State officials who have already been indicted by the Pennsylvania attorney general on charges of lying to a state grand jury in the case of predatory animal Jerry Sandusky.

Jerry Sandusky is on trial here, but the pressure to put Penn State in the dock continues; and the public has every right to learn more about the forces orchestrating that campaign.
Bump. Now with the email exchanges of 2001 coming to light, I'm curious to hear what the people complaining conspiracy now think?

Or is it just being overly politically correct when it turns out the Penn State apparantly has child rape as some sort of benefits package*.

*-only for winning sports programs bringing in lots of money.

I will bump this one again when they tear down the statue of the pedo-enable some sick penn state fans must pray to every saturday afternoon.

Sorry Mathguy...I don't think think it is going to happen. However, the school said whiile they would not remove the statue, they would rotate it 180 degrees so it will look the other way.
