Toyota Camry once a favorite car but has been plaque as the truth of its reliability is surfacing.
This forum is a good indicator as by searching this forum there has been many threads on issues.
Consumer reports listed the common problems drivers has had.
Excessive Oil Consumption
Defective Exterior Paint
Transmission Failure
Vehicle Speed Control Issues
Unexpected Air Bag Deployment
To avoid dealing with most common Toyota Camry issues, it is important you purchase your car from a reputable dealer. It is in their best interest to sell you a car without problems since their reputation may very well be on the line. As well, make sure to check out the history of your vehicle to see if any of these issues have occurred or if it has been in any accidents (this can usually done through the VIN number).

When it comes to buying a new car the individual dealer has zero bearing on the quality of the car you're buying. The dealer isn't assembling them in the shop from parts.
My mother had a '10 Camry LE that she put about 40k miles on with zero problems. She traded that car for a '13 Camry SE and now she's having problems with a popping noise coming from the roof, it seems to affect cars with a sunroof from what I've read. I don't think Toyota really knows how to fix it, but otherwise it's a really nice car.
Not only that but Toyota has had to rely on fleet sales to keep its sales numbers up, a tactic they used to sneer at the U.S. domestic 3 for. Over 1/3rd of U.S. Camry sales are now fleet sales; some sources say close to half.
What a bunch of bias BS. To avoid manufacturing problems buy from a reputable dealer.. wth.. lol.. and "most honda cicvic issues being minor" Then they list engine block cracks as a common issue.. yeah. Thats minor.. lol

That part made me laugh. reputable or not, the dealer has no idea whether a given new car has problems or does not have problems. That post reads like an ad for a dealership - Buy your Toyota from us or you might have problems with your car? WTH??
The article reads like it was written by a 12 year old, or maybe prepared for publication int eh Weekly world news. While I am not a Totota fanboy by any means (they make good cars and crappy cars IMO) this article has virtually no credibility to me.

Maybe they are minor engine block cracks - at least when the first appear they are minor.
Yes, but all these problems can be avoided by going to a reputable dealer. All of those falling off door handle Cherokees are sold only by irreputable dealers.
