81 feet makes a big difference...18 feet not so much.

Houston's 4th tallest skyscraper is as tall as Dallas' tallest.

Don't even gives us the flight path BS. Houston's Hobby is near downtown too.

The architecture of the buildings in Dallas are so much better than Houston's. A vast majority of Houston's buildings are boxy or horribly designed. There are only two buildings that I find nice in Houston, the rest are quite boring.

Flight paths has a lot to do with the height of buildings. Elm Place was originally planned to be 721 ft but the FAA thought the height would be a hazard to planes. In every city the height restrictions are different.

Dallas has just as many boxy buildings as Houston. in fact the vast majority of buildings in any city are rectangular shaped. I bet you in terms of numbers Houston has more non rectangular buildings than Dallas. In fact apart from your dilldoe prairie stick, what building in Dallas in not Boxy?

Houston has a number of award winning buildings, Dallas has a lot of tacky award buildings

How are they tacky? Houston's Skyline is ugly, just accept it and move on.

Architecturally speaking, Houston is the more reknown city.

Its porn for skyscraper fanatics such as myself.

Dallas' small stubby skyline is not on par with Houston's sheer massiveness which ranks 3rd tallest skyline in the nation while Dallas ranks 6th.

Houston has about 100 more high rises than Dallas.

Ok? Massiveness doesn't make Houston's skyline attractive. How is a 921 ft building stubby? Houston's skyline looks like a bunch of blind architects designed the buildings. Every time I spark a conversation about Houston's skyline the first words are big and tall, I've never heard attractive or pretty. Yes, Houston has a huge skyline but it isn't attractive at all. I would rather have a small attractive skyline than a huge ugly one.

Honestly this building makes Dallas Skyline stand out. Just imagine how the skyline would look without it. You can take the JP Morgan Chase building out of Houston skyline and it would still look better and bigger.

Maybe if you leave Dallas sometime then you would probably hear more compliments. I have herd on plenty occasions of how Houston skyline is "beautiful". Just yesterday I had a meeting in DT and it lasted the whole day and for about 1 hour just about everyone in the meeting complemented Houston and its skyline. Even some of our Dallas clients were fascinated..lol.
