I think Houston beats Dallas when you are driving around on the freeways and see the buildings from a distance all around. Dallas beats Houston when it comes to street presence and urban environment. So I guess I'll call it a tie since each plus cancels out the other ones minuses.

I can agree with this..But this also spells out the reason why developments in Dallas receive more hype. Even if the development is just ok. The built evnviroment would definately be an incentive or an advantage for the spiel when selling the development to the public. In Houston good developments(and there are some) are kinda secluded and isolated from the surrounding fabric in the attempt to shutter the outside neighborhood out. IDK that was just my observation when I was just there. The two cities are just built out different. I had fun tho

No way on Gods Green Earth ( well, brown if you are in North Texas) is the street presence better in Dallas.
Houston beats Dallas from both the hughways and street level.

And that's a fact jack.

Please prove me wrong. You can start by comparing Westheimer in Houston to McKinney Avenue in Dallas.

This will be interesting.

Don't have to.
Anyone can see for themselves that the urban layout in Houston trumps that in Dallas.

Hmm, I guess there must've been a little too much truth in my previous post.

Westheimer 30 miles long Cuts through all the layers of Houstons past and tells a real story of the city
Mckinney 3 miles?

Westeimer curve (between Mulberry @ Yoakum) better view of a better skyline.
McKinney ?

Westheimer original
McKinney Westheimer wannabe

What about Greenville ave? It also cuts through all the layers of Dallas' past and tells a story of the city.
