Some interesting images showing densities I found on SkyscraperPage Forum that are all the same scale:

Obviously they get less accurate when taking large bodies of water in account such as San Francisco.




From left to right: Houston, DFW, Miami, San Fran, and Detriot.




From left to right: Chicago, LA, and NYC

Now since this is a Dallas vs Houston smackdown thread.... what happened Dallas? I see you that you don't have much density? Also, I knew LA was dense, but man it's great to see a visual.

Interesting maps. Houston is certainly more dense overall than Dallas, there is no debating that. You have 1 million more people! 5,000 PSM isn't really that dense though, and neither city is particularly dense compared to LA, Chicago, or New England. Some areas in New York are over 100,000 people per square mile. Now, that is density!!!! I hope Dallas never reaches anything close to that, or I'll be forced to move away. I hate crowds, and Dallas is just right for me!!!!
