What's wrong with that other bridge near that area??? I forget the name. You kinda see where you're all going with this?? Dallas builds for show. That bridge was not a need or in demand.

Here's a picture before Victory Park was built. Man, that power plant was ugly. I'm glad it's gone.

all of the bridges needed to get replaced,we just pushed for something spectacular and didn't settle for the boring design like houston would do. We have vision not generic thinking.

I beg to differ. The Continental Viaduct (MHH Bridge), will offer a direct route for those travelling from/to Woodall Rodgers to Loop 12 via Singleton Blvd, without having to access I-30.

There is a need and there will be a demand.

The city of Houston has a dull way of handling things. Then they want to point out all the reasons dallas is wrong for not being just as dull as them.....wassup with that?

The I-30 and I-35 bridges over the Trinity River is in very bad condition. TxDOT wants to start construction on replacing the I-30 bridge by next year.

Yes...I-30 bridge is next. However they did water the I-30 bridge design down significantly....maybe that will satisfy the Houstonians' dull itch that doesnt exist in Dallas...

The plan is to ask the architect to redesign the bridge but TxDOT wants to build a regular bridge with bike lanes.

This is another indication that Dallas never settles. We just find another way of getting what we want. Can't wait to hear what they say about this one.
