Yeah that storm woke me up, but unfortunately was very brief. Hopefully more is on the way.

I was absolutely shocked at how much our lawn came back after that hail storm a week ago Sunday. This one should hopefully get it completely back. I don't love spending the type of coin we do on landscaping only to look at a brown lawn due to drought restrictions. The lawn service is going broke as most aren't willing to pay for aeration and top soil any more since they tend to only get an awesome lawn for about 6 weeks and then we're right back into drought restrictions. I don't see an end in sight to it and suspect these summers are going to get worse on a yearly basis.

It didn't take long for Houston news media to freak out because now is raining.
I bet it has rained less than 3" in the last 30 days.

The only thing they are good at is keeping people in fear.

Yeah the grass comes back VERY quickly here and it grows twice as fast as the grass we had in Georgia.

I think I heard Lake Travis is down to 37%. I wish we could get an event like what happened in NYC.

2.8" of rain at my house in SW Austin, was very welcome!

Rainfall was decent across the basin, as well.

My lawn is still lush and green after all that rain.
