Who do you think you are?

You can't take the Texan out of someone just because you disagree with them...

Who would argue with that stupid argument?

I honestly dont see the republicans ever getting much else accomplished anymore. The problem with republicans today is that they've become entirely synonymous with being losers. They lose everything they touch..lol...rulings, votes, minds, hearts, bets...whatever...they are just viewed as a small party of losers now, and no one wants to be associated with that.

This is all about Rick Perry and his ambitions to be President. Perry has good hair. Well, he HAD good hair. Otherwise, he's just a dumb, dumb guy. He is so dumb he doesn't even realize he's dumb as a post. The man has no chance of ever being elected President. The man has no chance of being re-elected Governor. He's embarrassing. Sarah Palin's Winston Churchill compared to him.

Could some of his friends and supporters on this forum please - gently - tell him he has the IQ of an Afghan Hound and all Mother Nature ever intended him to do was run around a track chasing a rabbit decoy? You would be doing him a great service, a true kindness, not to mention to every other inhabitant of the State of Texas. Unless his poor children inherited his IQ, they must be mortified. Think of them.

No, you can't. That's not what I was doing. I was pointing out that whether or not I agree with them, they have, with their behavior and general incompetence, WHATEVER the bill was about, brought such shame on the State of Texas that as far as I, a fourth generation Texan through all four grandparents whose folks came here and fought at San Jacinto, served in the Texas Secession Convention, and were instrumental in getting the first county in Texas designated, am concerned, they have forfeited their claim to the name of Texan. They clearly are putting what they see as the good of the party WAY ahead of the good of the State, and that's unacceptable in a Republican OR a Democrat. Out of sheer dishonesty and greed and, worst of all, being so danged BAD at it that a three-year-old could see what they were doing.

I can't believe another special session has been called by Gov. Perry. What a waste of tax payers money. Maybe they should have used that money to provide options to women that are seeking alternatives to abortion. Personally I don't believe the government needs to be involved in a private decision between a woman and her physician. While I do not like the idea of abortion, I would never allow my beliefs to interfer in the decision a woman makes with her own body, it's none of my business or anyone else's business.

Well, the Libertarian Party is gaining traction. Obviously given the design of our political system, it can't just "win" an election but more and more people are realizing that they identify as libertarian (anywhere from anarcho-capitalist to socialist mutualist and the myriad of philosophies in between) in some form and the idea of the alternate parties is to take away enough from the big parties that they must bring about significant attitude and policy rework or die trying.

Another fiscal conservative, social liberal reporting in.
