There’s plenty of room left - or is it?

Personally it doesn't really bother me when people OC, but I also feel like it's inappropriate at times.

I also believe that businesses should be able to determine whether or not they accept open carry or concealed carry on their property.

I lived in Del Rio, Texas in the mid 70's. Generally speaking, Del Rio wasn't that great for me, but I loved the Rio Grande, and there was a gorgeous spring that flowed into the river. That was a lovely spot and I hope it's still there. I was a kid from the northwest and I remember 120 degrees in April. oops! A friend of mine was stationed in Del Rio in the air force. He had air conditioning in his bed room, every where else in the house was hotter then blazes. I think I lived there a couple of months and then drove back to Washington.

Right now it's 45 degrees and raining, so there's that, but summer will be here soon enough.

Don't feel bad. I live in NE Texas and right now it's raining cats and dogs (and has been off and on for weeks now), and 54 which is a veritable heat wave.

At least it's not COLD and rainy like it has been and will be again in a few days.

I guess I'm not understanding the complaints about the weather.

It hasn't been the warmest or the driest, but it's hasn't been too bad either, IMO. Plenty of sunny intervals and dry days in between, plus no extremely cold temperature or snow either.

I can wear blue jeans on the hottest day of summer, and I wear them all the time during summer, I do avoid boots when it is hot though. I have somehow acclimated to the weather. Funny enough, when I was a I refused to wear pants even when it was below freezing

I love the low cost of living, no state income tax etc. What I don't like is it's too business friendly to the extreme at the cost of consumers... opposite of California. Businesses love it here because it's very easy to screw their customers which seems to be modus operandi of most American businesses these days. It's also one of the less interesting states in terms of geographic diversity given that most of the state sits on a plateau.
