I would suggest heading to the south. Atlantans are really friendly ... to your face. I'm sure their pizza delivery driver will happily give you change ... and then grumble about you behind your back.

Andplusalso, I speak German for the record.

If this is indeed NOT a troll, then don't confuse cultural differences for rudeness. St. Louis is one of the most polite friendly cities I've lived in. Definitely DON'T go to California..

I find the people in California to be friendlier and more sincere than the people I met in the Saint Louis Area. Maybe you are confusing rudeness with the directness of Southern Californians agains the passive-aggresive "friendly" behavior found in Saint Louis.

I moved to CA 20 years ago from NY, within a month I met groups of people that I am still friends with 20 years later.

Its very hard to break into established cliques in the Stl Metro Area.

Especially when you live 40 miles outside of the city.

Don't know about that.
35 miles isn't far at all. For a while I was in the city almost everyday.

Now I live 35 miles outside of Los Angeles and drive in very frequently.

(My circle of friends is within 120 miles of each other (San Diego to Los Angeles) and we all spend a lot of time together)

^That's by far my least favorite thing about the left coast. Why on earth would you want to spend that much time in the car? I've driven a total of 10 miles this week.

Wow, it's weird how we have such different experiences. I lived in OC for 10 yrs and Sacramento for 15 yrs. When I moved to St Louis, I was overwhelmed by our courteous and friendly people were. Men would hurry to get ahead of me so they could open the door for me. Definitely NOT something I ever experienced in CA.

Two points...

1) One Large Domino Pepperoni...delivered, $19.87...A great deal!
2) Asking for change from your $20...and speaking in a foreign tongue...An a** whoopin in any neighborhood!

I'm done.
