Anyone catch the pre-race (200 Fly semis) mind games being played out in the locker room and on the pool deck between Phelps and the S African defending champ in the 200 Fly? What the video doesn't get into was the SA trying in vain to break Phelps game once they walked out to get ready at the pool side just before the race.
They race next to each other for gold tonight.

Rigged results on boxing. It's a brewing scandal in rio. Along with the filth and the crime is the unclean refereeing and judging. Things are just grimy in Brazil.
I agree. From the opening ceremonies having her be on the front line of the US Delegation, to the numerous commercials during the broadcast about her. It's a bit nauseating at this point. It's fencing,
WHO REALLY CARES?!?!
Don't be so hard on the poor booby. At least with fencing she has something to concentrate on besides joining ISIS and making suicide vests.
I think all this self expression is rude and unsportmanlike. Keep your feeling to yourself and do your best, and be humble when you win, and gracious when you lose. All this mad dogging (whatever that means) and trash talking just demonstrate poor upbringing. Let the drug labs decide who is cheating and who is not. And the IOC gets to rule who can race and who can't. Just smile and try not to act so high school.
Keep that in mind the next time you encounter yet another tribute to Muhammad Ali.
Lilly King mad dogging the cheatin' Russian before jumping in the pool and taking the gold is a beautiful Olympic moment.
Lilly King must produce an enormous amount of testosterone for a woman. It's rare for a guy of that age to have a receding hairline like hers. Not to mention the massive neck and non existing boobs.
Medal count as of day 5
total medals only
1 usa 32
2 China 23
3 Japan 18
4 Russia 15
5 Australia 12
They should count the total medals. Like our swimming relay teams, when they win well, that's actually 4 medals total, so we really probably have a hundred or so by now.
