That's pretty funny! I hardly ever eat at Taco John's. I guess I'm just a Taco Bell guy at heart. Did you know Brookings doesn't have a Taco Bell? You'd think they would being a college town and all.

And Mark, I would try Inca... I've always thought it was good. But then again, I've never had any sort of Mexican food south of Omaha basically .

Please tell me people don't really think Taco John's is mexican food... If that's what you guys are telling me, I will not go any further with my original question. Taco John's, Taco Bell, name your "mexican" fast food restaurant, and it all falls horribly short. Anyone that is going to San Antonio and likes mexican food, please stop by a place called Mi Tierra. It's easily one of the best mexican restaurants in the country !!!

That being said, I like the beer at Granite City !!!

LOL, Mark... I'm sure saying Taco Johns is good Mexican is like saying McDonalds is good American food!

I will admit though, if I'm in the mood for fast food...which is a very rare occasion, I'll pick between Taco Johns and Burger King. It's the darn grease that makes it taste good.

Although Taco Johns is my favorite, it is TEXMEX.

I've done several projects in Mexico. You can not order a burrito. You can not order a taco, in Mexico. They don't know what they are. You can order beans and tortillias and they bring you them separate along with all kinds of trimmings. You build your own burrito. But they don't sell them that way.

I tried Marlin's on the Tea exit, which has opened up. The food and service was good and were good on the portions. I am impressed with the restaurant and plan to come back and have more meals there in the future. I have heard that the Sioux Falls one is popular and there are other ones in Mitchell, Pierre, and Aberdeen. Jammie, have you been to the Marlin's in Mitchell?

Chris, there is also a Marlin's in Rapid City at the Windmill Truck Stop. They have a 'Marlin's Challenge' where if you eat a HUGE burger, chili fries, and a massive shake in under an hour you get your meal for free.

Yes, we've been to Marlin's. They moved in a few years ago and took over the old I-90 Truckstop. They serve HUGE portions. I wonder if they do this all over~Do they always serve lemonade or pop in quart jars?
