Soccer doesnt get me butthurt. The culchies who love GAA call it soccer back home too. Get way worse reactions saying American Football =)

And saying "American football" while you're IN America is just redundant.

not really. Most of my friends call soccer "football" and American football either "American football" or "NFL football"

Most of your friends, maybe. But that's not most of the country, though.

I'm sure in Australia, rugby is commonly called "football".

I think in Austrailia Aussie Rules is football, rugby is rugby

It doesnt, and not its not. Most of the guys I hang with know when I say football I mean soccer and they say NFL and I say American Football.

I promise I dont get butthurt but if u wanna think it you can.

... yeah. And my point is that you DON'T NEED to say that. There's only one NFL and it's in America. There's no need to call it American Football since everyone already knows what it is and where it's from.

That's my point. It's redundant. It's just like calling someone a "human person" or calling what you have for lunch "eating food".

it's not redundant to call it American football on a soccer message board where the terms soccer and football are both used to describe the sport of soccer.
