This will help: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019...infection.html

If you are using a cloth mask, I think a soapy wash is as good as anything. For a N95 like mine, I get the impression that that they really shouldn’t be reused but I’ll admit that I’ve been considering a UV light approach. Personally, I am certain that we will have plenty of masks available soon and we will all be wearing masks regularly.

BTW...maybe using hydrogen peroxide spray would be preferable to bleach. It is effective (from what I’ve read) and the smell would be less objectionable.

You mean an N95, right?

I would think a solution of 60-70% alcohol would be better because it won't eat fibers like bleach could. And it evaporates, so it won't leave the N95 mask wet for a long time.

You can also wear a surgical mask (surgical masks are readily available online, since these arent the ones that hospitals are begging for) or a homemade cloth mask, and wear on top of the N95.

Heat and humidity aren't friendly to the virus. So maybe place the mask outdoors as well.

Things not looking good right now. These ideas of "loosening restrictions" soon in some areas are just plain bad. If you watch the Bill Gates video (that I posted a link to the other day) I think he has it right. And Dr. Fauci is a really smart guy. IMO if a lot of things are done right - such as tightening restrictions (instead of loosening them) - a best case scenario would be about 8 weeks from now when it might make sense to consider loosening restrictions. If reopening is rushed - it could backfire and result in a 2nd closing down.

US could see millions of coronavirus cases and 100,000 or more deaths, Fauci says:
https://news.google.com/articles/CAI...S&ceid=US%3Aen

Washington (CNN) The nation's top infectious disease expert said Sunday that based on models, the United States could eventually see 100,000 or more deaths from the novel coronavirus, which has already claimed more than 2,000 American lives as cases surge across the US.

"Whenever the models come in, they give a worst-case scenario and a best-case scenario. Generally, the reality is somewhere in the middle. I've never seen a model of the diseases that I've dealt with where the worst case actually came out. They always overshoot," Dr. Anthony Fauci, a key member of the White House's coronavirus task force, told CNN's Jake Tapper on "State of the Union."

"I mean, looking at what we're seeing now, you know, I would say between 100 and 200,000 (deaths). But I don't want to be held to that," he said, adding that the US is going to have "millions of cases."

Coronavirus task force has received proposed recommendations on reducing social distancing:
https://news.google.com/articles/CAI...S&ceid=US%3Aen

(CNN) Some federal health experts advising President Donald Trump on the Covid-19 response have submitted recommendations to the White House coronavirus task force -- guidelines that seek to reopen "some schools and businesses" in cities where infection rates are low, a senior federal health official directly involved in creating the guidelines told CNN.

The guidelines are only recommendations at this point, which would be considered by the task force then submitted for Trump's approval.

Well I'm glad that common sense is prevailing....

Trump extends social distancing guidelines through April 30 to keep US coronavirus death toll below 100,000:
https://news.google.com/articles/CAI...S&ceid=US%3Aen

President Donald Trump on Sunday extended the national social distancing guidelines to April 30, walking back his previous remarks that he wanted the country to reopen for business by Easter.

"Nothing would be worse than declaring victory before the victory has been won," Trump said at an evening press briefing after suggesting that the coronavirus death rate would likely peak in two weeks.

Public health experts had warned that loosening restrictions by Easter, on April 12, would result in unnecessary death and economic damage.

Trump said the administration is working to keep the projected death toll below 100,000.

Governor issues stay-at-home order for South Florida:
https://news.google.com/articles/CBM...S&ceid=US%3Aen

ORLANDO, Fla. - Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) on Monday announced that he is issuing a stay-at-home order for the southern portion of the state as the number of positive coronavirus cases grows.

The order will apply to Broward, Miami-Dade, Palm Beach and Monroe counties through the middle of May.

"The 'Safer-At-Home' [order] is the right move for southeast Florida," DeSantis said at a press conference at the Hard Rock Stadium, just north of Miami. "This is the time to do the right thing. Listen to all of your local officials."

"We will do this through the middle of May, and then see where we're at," he continued.

For those of you in Manatee county that are stuck at home, Spectrum customers are receiving Showtime and Epix channels for free through Sunday, April 19.

I love how DeSantis is blocking off I-10 (New Orleans) & I-95 (New York) to pass out Florida advisories, and cruise ships from porting here carrying foreigners. While the 2 week self quarantine mandate on arriving flights isunenforecable, at least he's trying. I give him a "B" so far, the Spring Break being his only Black mark.

That article that I posted said Desantis issued the 'safer at home' decree (for 4 counties in SE Florida) to end on May 15. Turns out he misspoke and the 'safer at home' decree was only meant to last until April 15:

DeSantis misspoke, ‘safer at home’ to end April 15:
