It was my pleasure to post pics of Julian and Borrego for you folks in Indy, Maryland and Colorado. As you can tell, not much has changed (sans the fire devastation) since you were probably last there. You'll be glad to know that there still isn't a Starbucks anywhere near Julian!!

In case anyone is interested in the route I followed, just follow the directions on the map below.

Going there I headed east on the 8 past the Viejas Casino/Outlet mall, then north on 79 thru the Cuyamaca Rancho State Park (plenty of hiking trails here, but watch out for mountain lions and big thunderstorms during the Summer) towards Julian, then east on 78 to Borrego Springs.

On the way back I took the 78 west thru Julian again and onto Santa Ysabel and Ramona, which eventually turns into the 67 south. Finally headed west on Poway Road back to the 15.

Time for some nice fresh sunshine photos, people! This SD wannabe is sitting in a snow warning in MN today. It would be pretty to watch in November, but on March 31? Ugh....

Please let me get that job offer this week....

^^Considering how the market is today, someone could make an offer for $1 million, and the seller would be an idiot not to accept! LOL

I'd think that property in the picture above is a multi-unit investment property with several apartments behind it. No way that house would go for $1.25 million even in the best parts of La Jolla. And you can see it has a 2nd story add on in the back, this house looks a lot like the ones in PB that were originally single family homes then had apartment units built in the back yard.

^^^I took that pic myself and can confirm that it's not a multi-unit property. That second story is a part of the house. Mind you, this house is across the street from the multi-million dollar Coronado bayfront homes with the killer views of downtown and the bridge.

I remember saying to myself that this house doesn't even have a view of the water! As I recall, there was a time when average home prices in Coronado were over 1 million dollars. You've gotta admit that is probably the most pathetic million dollar home around

WOW! I didn't think anything would be that overpriced anywhere in the county. But I guess some stucco and paint can make that thing look decent from the outside. I was totally convinced it must be a multi unit b/c it was so damn ugly and even in La Jolla you can get a better deal than that. But Coronado is pretty small and pricey. Yes, that is pretty bad!
