Anyone remember the "Marbach Saloon"? Marbach, just inside 410. I saw Ted Nugent there in '73 or '74. Loud!!!

How about the local band Homer?

The one on broadway and 410 is now a las palapas.

Rooty's had the best pizza. It tasted like my mom's homemade.

Came across this thread last night...read until midnight and started fresh again this morning! After reading the first 1000 posts and realizing there were another 2000+ to read (I could be here for days) just wanted to say thanks to 940 for starting the thread. It's brought back a flood of memories!

BTW, I'm another JMHS alum, class of '79.

I also found it on the web with a pic of the building, and yes, that is the place! Can't believe that it is still there! Another place to check out.
My pleasure!! You gave me another place to check out in SA!!!

I'm not sure if this is the most appropriate thread for this, but something that was GBNF is returning. This morning I think I saw a sign on the corner of Nacogdoches and O'Connor on the site of the torn-down Chevron station that a Carl's Jr is going to be opening there.

I saw that over the weekend, and that is so awesome.
