Speaking of old swimming holes.... does anyone out there have some photos of the old Terrell Wells swimming pool? That old smelly southside pool has been mentioned many times by me and others, but no photos. Any takers? How I would love to see some of that sulphurous place!
Your wish is my command!

The above photo was taken about 1947. I am the little boy. The girl is my cousin and the two older boys are our half brothers.

Thank you, Jack. Got anymore? I wonder if anyone has a photo with the covered arcade in the background? I'll bet there are bunches of photos out there. You must be just a year or two older than I am. Born Oct '46. We may have peed in the same water at the same time. (too gross a statement, I know.....sorry).

It seems to me there is a photo around here someplace with the slide and maybe one with the arcade. It would be a bear to find it.

Does anybody remember Goas Tamales? How about Facs corn chips or Carmens Chili chips. Rainbo Bread? Texas Pride Beer in the blue and white cans? Does anyone remember before Coors Beer came to town. Remember the beer runs to get it?

Yes, Dwangle to all of those things. Don't forget Pearl beer and Hippo soft drinks. Hey!
Let's have a Fizzies party! (You are making me want the "Way-Back" machine again.)

GY2020, if you can find those photos it would warm the cockles of me heart to see them. The slide, the diving tower, the covered swings, and of course the arcade. It
takes photos to pry loose some old, fine memories. I have often wondered, was the old warm sulphur artesian well capped or what? In most geological areas, if you have such a combination of factors, you will also find earthquakes to some degree. I know they occur down around Pleasanton, and supposedly S.A. has even had very, very minor ones in the past. Just a few musings.

Question Handy Dan Hardware San Antonio

I am looking for any information about the headquaters of Handy Dan that was in San Antonio. I am a former employee. I worked for the Handy Dan in Oak Cliff in Dallas. I know that there were employee profit benifts avaiable at one time. And I know that sometime when companies close those benifits are still there. I was looking for any information that might be out there to help me in this matter.

Thanks
Meloene
