It is far from a POS and their money loss on each piece has been well documented. There is absolutely no such thing as a tablet that costs only $10 to make.. I have one and love it and also got my brother one, which he uses every day at work. You can also port Android over to it, although I've grown pretty fond of Web OS.

I'm debating between waiting for the rumored Ipad 3 (supposed to be available in the Spring) or grabbing one of these.

I had originally wanted one of those touchpads, but then the hooplah about the kindle fire happened. I've owned the kindle fire for 2 weeks now, and I love it.

... But when it comes down to it, the HP still has more processing speed than the Kindle Fire. Tech geek blogs keep raving about the Fire being the cat's pajamas, but it can't hold a candle to the processing power or versatility of an iPad or proper tablet. Not that it's a bad device. Far from it. You get a lot for that price tag. Just don't go into the purchase thinking you're getting a competitor to an Apple/Moto/Sammy/etc tablet.
