VEDY VEDY cool MCM in Oak Hills just popped up. Actually, a really good price for the area ($279,900). Oak Hills reminds me of Castle Hills. I absolutely 100% would have bought this pad in a heartbeat if it was on the market 3 months ago! Moderator cut: TOS Violation

Yep, actually I DO ! It's a terrible habit I developed while searching for my own pad last year. I was beyond obsessive. Now though, I don't spend nearly as much time on that MLS doohickey - I just check like 5 areas these days where a serious-cool MCM is most likely to pop up (Terrell Hills, Alamo Heights, Olmos Park, Castle Hills and Oak Hills)...for what reason, I do not know, since I don't plan on moving anytime soon - I guess I just like to torture myself...Man, I need a hobby!

Oh yeah, remember that crazy-cool and VERY pricey (think 1.6 million - yikes!) O'Neil Ford in Olmos Park that was just listed like a week-and-a-half ago (I believe my post on that was deleted from the "Modern Homes" thread because of that whole MLS link thing)? It's ALREADY under contract! Man, who are these moneybags who are buying (or affording, rather) these places?

Smile Oak hills

I have been living in oak hills for about 8 months now. I love this neighborhood and you can find some nice mid century homes here. I was fortunate enough to buy mine from the original owner who bought it in 1956.

I finally got a New Homes Guide from Ebay. The issue I got is from the late fifties and has 80 home plans in it. It will be waiting for me when I get home from the desert in mid-September. I plan to start building the early part of the year. I will keep ya'll updated.
