I'm narrowing my search down to a few places since I am moving in 2 to 3 weeks now and have a few questions on some places. One place I found was a nice duplex house in 14608 on 19 hubbell park at South Fitzhugh (Cornhill).
Another place is located in Mount Morris I don't have an address since it did not give one.
The last place is located on Haywood Ave at Goodman ST in downtown Rochester. It states about Sect 8, SSD, DSS are accepted now in Maine those are 9 times out of 10 bad areas. Is that the same for Rochester?
Most places around Cornhill I would find to be safe. There seems to be alot to do there, and it has proximity to downtown and the river.
I don't know much about Mount Morris.
The only part of Goodman I would feel safe on is south of the 490.
When we looked for a spot to live we waited for a warm day and then came back at night to see what the neighborhood is like.
I want to thank everyone for all their help. My family and I finally did find a very nice home and neighborhood in corn hill. So we will be moving within the next few weeks.

That's great. I think Corn Hill was a good choice.
Haha I didn't catch that the first time. But yeah, Goodman north of 490 still goes through Harvard, Oxford, and Park Avenue...some of the nicest residential streets in the city! I'd consider Goodman between the RR and Monroe to actually be the nicest stretch of it!
