So factual statistics are less relevant than your opinion?

Hmmm lets see. OTNY wants to go to Atlanta because the economy is so much better down there; unemployment rate for the Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Marietta, GA metro area: 10.3%

Yep, much better there than here. In fact we should all move down there right now and are stupid for staying here. I'll go pack.

In this thread: https://www.city-data.com/forum/roche...nt-help-2.html

Wherever in the southern US (NC/SC, Georgia, 'Bama) offers has an open job opportunity. The company I work for now was just acquired by another company with a headquarters down in Atlanta, and has other operations around the south, so if I can stay with them (which I hope I can) then I'll transfer to an operations center where there's an opening. Until then, I'll continue life here.
If you want to move to Atlanta, or anywhere else in the country that's great for you if you do it; but if you are going to claim unemployment here is so high that it makes it a bad place to live, might want to check out the unemployment rates for the areas you are looking to relocate to that you thing are just so much better than here.

They have a headquarters in Atlanta, never said I wanted to move there. And honestly, I really don't want to move there. Too big for my tastes, plus I'm a Carolina Panthers fan, so I wouldn't really fare well sporting Carolina blue

Carolina blue is NOT Panthers!

I'm saying this all in good humor, but as a former resident of NC, if you do ever live there I would not make this mistake!

Carolina Blue is the color for the University of North Carolina Tar Heels....not the Panthers!
