I wouldn't say Warwick is "leafy" crime wise, but in looks, some places in Warwick actually look like straight @ss. And I dont know how the garden city neighborhoods are "leafy," IDK maybe its just me
Multiple people were just shot in South Providence. This happened on Carolina Ave. in the Washington Park neighborhood. No other info. available at this time.

Washington Park is not in South Providence. Separate neighborhood. People who live in the city, know that. For instance, Jose Batista was recently elected as a rep. in the General Assembly. His campaign signs identified that he was running to represent "South Providence and Washington Park".
That's actual, on the street knowledge. Not what some outsider thinks the neighborhood names should be.

Please don't start up on this nonsense again. While Washington Park does happen to be a distinct neighborhood in its own right, it is very much a part of South Providence. Take this from the JWU Washington Park Main St. plan, for instance.

Looks like this happened in the area of 88/90 Carolina Ave.
"At least a dozen Providence police cruisers are parked outside the emergency room at Rhode Island Hospital. A 12 News crew on scene saw a black Jeep in the parking lot with several bullet holes in the driver and passenger’s side windows.

Police were also seen investigating on Carolina Avenue. A 12 News crew on scene saw several shell casings in the area, and what appeared to be a bullet hole in the window of a nearby house."

Also confirming that 9 people have been shot on Carolina Ave. in Providence.
Providence Police Chief Hugh Clements said "several dozen shots were fired" and "4 or 5 guns were used".
That they are looking at "2 well known groups (gangs) in an ongoing feud"
Also, "there was return fire".
"It's unfortunate that young men in this community have no regard for life, at times. They fire the guns, willingly at each other and this is the case here. So, very disappointing..."
Police were dispatched to 87 Carolina Ave, but the crime tape was shown across the street from there.

This would now make 28 people shot in Providence so far this year. Prior tonight, that number was 19. Police also said something about this possibly being the largest shooting the city had seen.
