My answer would be that I have no idea and no way to answer this question. If there is alien life, it's possible they have souls and it's possible they don't. I don't have anything to back up an answer either way.

I believe 100% that there is advanced alien life out there. Heck, the bible clearly mentions at least one other race of beings, Angels. I believe that every planet with sentient life on it was given the same choice that Adam and Eve were given, however I believe that Adam/Eve were the only ones who made the choice that they made. One of the reasons, that I believe, we have not encountered alien civilizations other than Angels, is that due to A/E's choice and the fall of man, this planet has been somewhat quarantined from the rest of the universe. Sin is a disease that no other beings want any part of. They made their choice and now the entire universe is watching this Great Controversy between Christ and Satan unfold. Satan challenged God's governance of the universe and accused Him of being unjust and His laws arbitrary. God is Love. His law, is one of love that is designed to bring harmony and peace to all those throughout the universe who keep it. Sin is the result of rejecting that perfect law of love. With every creation whom God gave free will to, He gave them a choice. God could not ask Adam/Eve if they wanted to be created, so for them to truly be free moral agents, they had to be given the choice of whether or not they wanted the life they were given. That choice was given in the form of a tree. God gave them life, but if they wanted death, all they had to do was eat from a specific tree. Well, we all know how the story goes. Fortunately, the story didn't end there for God stepped in and told them of another tree and another choice. However, this second tree would not be found in a beautiful garden, adorned with sweet, succulent fruit. This tree would be rough and ugly, it would be found in a place of skulls known as Golgotha, and on this second tree would hang the very Creator who stood in front of them in that Garden. Adam and Eve may have died, in exile from their perfect garden home, but they died with the hope and assurance in Christ and His sacrifice on Calvary's cross.
Very soon, this Great Controversy will come to an end, and this earth will be remade into the perfection it was originally meant to have. Sin, pain, death, and destruction will no longer exist, which means hell will no longer exist. The effects of hell, for those who experience it, will be permanent, but the fires of hell will be extinguished with the recreation of this earth.

This kind of brings up my answer to the second part of the OP. The human soul is not something that exists apart from the human body. Genesis states that God breathed into Adam and he became a living soul. Adam did not exist, prior to his creation, and when he died, the breath that gave him life went back to God. Science makes it clear that human conscious thought is contained and processed by a physical creation known as our brain. God created that brain for the purpose of processing our thoughts and making sense of the data received from the other aspects of our physical bodies, such as our eyes, ears, nose, etc. We know for a fact that when a person dies, all these physical parts decompose, making it impossible for any level of consciousness to remain or go anywhere. That is why Psalms 146:4 says "His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish." The reason that the idea of an immortal soul is such an affront to God is because it helps to perpetuate one of the single greatest assaults on the character of God, and that is the idea of eternal torment. No human being, from Adam and Eve, to the most recent crazed serial killer who was executed, is currently burning at all anywhere. Every single one of them, are exactly where they were buried completely decomposed, without a single thought being processed let alone feeling any sort of pain. they are all basically in a state of none existence, awaiting resurrection. Some will be resurrected, at Christ's 2nd coming, never to taste death again, and others will be resurrected 1000 years later to face final judgement, followed by eternal death brought about by the fires of hell (which won't exist until that time, and will only exist long enough to carry out the punishment of the wicked).

So, any free moral being created by Christ, doesn't have a soul, they are a living soul.

Advanced alien life has a living SOUL as well; but IT would exist in a different panorama of colors. Someone could say therefore instead of that height of evolution, an alternative form would be different articulations of formal communication. The word 'soul' may be transcribed to special verbal emphasis for concrete action.

If you met an alien that looked like this:

or this:

or even this.

Do you still think these particular aliens could have a god given soul?

Just asking.

yes i do,even the most e4vil demon in the universe has a soul,or to be more precise,IS a soul,we are souls that possess body's not the other way around, and in our original un-conditioned state we are full of bliss and knowledge,it is our contact and desires with/for material nature that conditions our souls and consioussness and in time we forget what we are and loose sight of that heavenly glory within us,but in time after many many births on the material platform,we will eventually get back to where we came from, its innevitable.............just sayin.

If a believer is open to that possibility it does raise some interesting questions.
If God created them would he also put them in a situation in which they would be tempted to disobey him in a similar manner to Adam and Eve? If they misbehaved would they find themselves in the same circumstances that mankind is in which would require God to send them a savior like Jesus? I wouldn't think many Christians would take that point of view because they view Jesus as part of the trinity and it would seem a little strange to have alien versions of Jesus spread throughout the universe but it's an interesting thought.
I do think it's likely that life exists elsewhere in the universe and it's very possible that advanced, intelligent life may exist as well. The Bible doesn't say anything about it, probably because the authors of the Bible didn't know that other solar systems existed or how immense the universe really is.
So what do you think, could advanced alien life exist that was created by God with souls similar to human beings?
You might want to read the thread "God, Satan, Spirits, and religion".
Bob.

As a non-Christian Theist I have no problem with the possibility, or probability of there being many intelligent life forms in the universe and some perhaps many of them having souls. Salvation is one's own personal responsibility and no one died for our sins nor is there any need to. No scapegoat pays for our sins, we alone carry the burden of sincerely repenting and asking for forgiveness. No sacrifice from God(swt) occurred nor is there any need for such. God(swt) need only say you are forgiven and you are forgiven.

The Qur'an says Allaah(swt) is the God(swt) of the Worlds, not just this world we know

I would differ with you on salvation (poorly named), Wood . . . it is a species level issue. The only sacrifice involved was having to endure the ignorance, barbarity and savagery of the humans who scourged and crucified Him. No greater love . . . and all that. The relevant accomplishment was possessing a consciousness of such pure unconditional agape love (what is also called Maitri) that even such horrendous treatment and agonizing death could not diminish it. Christ's single pure human consciousness is sufficient for our entire species to have the required connection to God's consciousness though harmonic resonance with His love for us all.
