One way people know that I like them is that I pick at, tease and banter with them. If I don't know you, or don't like you, things stay pretty formal. This was my father's way, and I learned quickly and well. He didn't say much, but when his eyes started twinkling, we KNEW he was about to pull a doozey!

When viewed from "the outside", this picking, teasing and bantering can sometimes seem insulting, belittling, demeaning, or even confrontational. In my professional/work life I have to be very careful.

Besides, you've gotta watch those Comanches, or next thing you know they'll be claiming to be the smartest and best looking NDNs.

As everyone knows, of course, that actually describes the Choctaw.

I recall seeing that "drum battle" on TV. What I remember most is that, while Buddy Rich "won" as he had much more technique, Gene Krupa had a much better time, grinning from ear to ear. Buddy looked like he wanted to annihilate Gene, but he was that kind of guy.

That's OK masonsdaughter, I caught it and I'm sure a couple of others did also it's just that with some of those Comanches you have to spell it out for them very slowly....

I have been absent for too long from the Circle (and from the forum). I have quite a few pages to catch up on. Many blessings to all here. I hope you having a nice Tuesday afternoon. Ptsum, again many thanks for creating this Circle nearly three years ago. It has been a wonderful source of inspiration and learning for me.

Take care and blessings,
Patrice :-)

pnc66, I thank you for this kind words. Three years, hard to believe it has continued this long and it is all because of those of you who come and sit with us. I am both humbled and honored by those who have come and sit with us in the sacred circle.wado
