Let's say that there are indeed lots of (paid ) women in front of the camera
But not actually many women who look at it!
Porn is only an industry, folks!
Men prefer visual stimulation. When it comes to women...they're totally pervs in their own mind. That's why they read all those sleazy books. They like to create their own porn in their heads. Guys aren't that complicated.
While I hate generalizations...I have to agree on this one, At1. I have seen porn on occasion, but it seems not to run to my taste. I can make up a better story in my head...and share it with my husband (and he does the same for me).
I have no moral problem with the idea of porn...unless the women performing are being coerced or taken advantage of. If the women appear to be very young- it is a HUGE turnoff. There is NO place for child porn in society. (To me, that includes making women appear to be young girls. Thankfully my husband feels the same.)
* How often do you watch porn? - a few times a month
* What's your favorite porn? (Website, DVD, or whatever) - free websites
* How much do you spend per month on porn? - nothing, zero, zilch
* Does your S.O. know about your porn watching? - Yup, he gives me the good sites he finds! We'll sometimes watch the same vids when talking over the phone.
* If not, how do you hide your porn watching from your S.O.? - no, but I don't always watch it with him either.
No we don't all watch porn. No denial here. Don't watch it and don't care to watch it. Quit trying to convince yourself that everyone does what you do. We don't.
Yes.
I think porn is damaging to a healthy sex drive and negatively affects a relationship with your SO. I think it distorts perspective on sex and intimacy, and encourages emotional detachment and selfish gratification.
There's a general harshness and baseness to it which is an absolute turn-off for me.
In short, it doesn't appeal to me, and I find it degrading to all people involved. It's also inherently voyeuristic, which weirds me out.
/moral high horse.
