They were out in full effect this morning, the air not so very cold today. I stepped off the front porch of chimes and I could already see the brightness of the moon, feel it. A three quarter moon. The stars shining bright. Not at their very brightest today, but they are there, accompanying the moon.
It was very quiet out there just now. Not a sound. The birds are still asleep as my coffee is already made. There is no breeze now, so the tall, tall trees stand still. They are still asleep just now. The world around me... everything still with its eyes closed.
I listen, because there is just the one little sound. it is the one I hear as I go to sleep, wake up in the night, and in the morning. My neighbors pond and waterfall. Making its different little noises. The water trickling off of rocks here and there. It is the only sound to be heard this morning. Nothing else.
The one light in town blinks on and off. Red, nothing, red, nothing. The street lamps lighting the way. The moon putting brilliance in the sky. Into my eyes, my heart and soul.
The kitties wait for me, peeping out the door of chimes. The both of them, with their front paws resting on one of the window panes. Just watching, waiting. Knowing my morning routine and that I will be back shortly.
So there I am, back in the house. I can smell the coffee, and folks, it will be a good coffee day, I will make it as such. Started out... ugh.. but I am getting there...
