just asking because its odd he knows you well enough to know where you work and he likes you but didn't know you didn't like him, that's honestly the worst place to surprise a girl you are in a relationship with. did he say some randomness as his drop line while giving you the present?

It was a long time ago...but he was kind of a friend. He knew where I worked because it came up in conversation. He was someone I would see when I was out dancing. I did go out with him and his friends once to a rodeo, not really my thing.
He was a good dancer. He was attractive but I wasn't intersted in him that way. He would call me all the time and just showed up at my work. He mistook me being nice and kind for interest. After he gave me the necklace I thanked him and had to tell him I wasn't interested.
