My best friend of mine and I were sitting in a bar having a beer. This older woman, obviously there with her husband and another couple, tapped me on the shoulder, and asked, "Excuse me. But are you two gay?" Her husband and friends looked on, horrified.
Without missing a beat, I replied, "Well, why don't you suck my **ck and find out?" She had no reply to that while her husband and friends started laughing. The guy ended up buying us drinks by way of an apology.
^ Why confused, Mokan? I am physically and emotionally attracted to women. There was a very brief time in high school when I did wonder, because I seemed to have, well, okay let's say 'crushes' on a few guys, but I still had crushes on girls and I've had them since I was like 8 years old. I've never really been physically turned on by any male, so I'm quite secure in my sexuality.
Why would someone say you're confused? Probably because of stuff like this:

Haha great wit! Cool her husband had the good-humour to laugh at the situation too.

I prefer not to go into out, unless you're itching to get into specifics. But I don't think I'm really out of the ordinary. Actually it probably wasn't necessary to say I was 95% straight, straight is adequate enough.

I think most "straight" people really are only 95% straight. Human sexuality is much more fluid than we generally allow for, socially. I would say the same for gay people--I think they are mostly really only 95% gay too. I think we all fall on the spectrum and that it is incredibly rare to be 100% gay or straight.

I think it's the fact that I'm capable of both eroticizing both women and men that accounts for the 5 or so percent in me. I don't really want to share all my inner-most thoughts and feelings and experiences, but suffice to say, I definitely dig the opposite sex.

People read me as all sorts of things--male, female, straight, gay, you name it, I've gotten it. I've had people tell me I should consider transitioning to the opposite sex, lol. Sometimes it reflects my thoughts and feelings, and sometimes it's more a projection of their thoughts and feelings. I definitely get what you're saying. I don't think you need to justify yourself to anyone else, but I was just trying to point out to other posters that saying you're "95% straight" doesn't make you "confused".

No, they're the people who say that try to force you into categories...I don't fully believe in the categories of 'gay', 'straight', 'bi', myself, because they can be misleading.
We are what we are, our genetic substrate has been shaped by our environment and the lives we live within it and the worldview we construct through it.

Well, there's that 5% that secretly enjoys listening to show tunes or Barbra Streisand. That's how.
