I used to think Cary was just a bland, boring suburb. Now, thanks to this forum, I realize that its much worse place than I thought. If you really have to defend your town so much so as to belittle other towns, in other states, in the process, it can't be such a great town to start off with.

How can you possibly state this without implicating yourself - the professed loather of Cary???? You actually started name calling - let's see, zombies, robots among other terms. Methinks that's the pot calling the kettle black.
I think it's a LOT creepy. But I'm sure there was some special deal that they signed up with at the time...maybe setup by the synagogue or something. I'm sure they didn't think of it on their own. The entire family (including aunts/uncles/cousins/grandparents) have plots all in the same area. Now what I find REALLY CREEPY are those folks who already have their own names and date of birth on a headstone...just waiting for them.
. I have to somewhat agree with seattlenextyear here but not just specific to Cary, to the triangle as a whole. I swear, this forum has made me absolutely desperate to leave the triangle, and while I acknowledge that Cary is a terrific place for some people, because of this forum (and specifically one poster) I don't even want to visit Cary anymore. It's just not for me. So good thing nobody is forcing me to go there, or to read these posts (at this point it's just fascination).
Don't let it get to you, Scorp. You can find wonderful people in every town. Sadly, you can also find annoying people in every town. You just have to stand your ground & refuse to let one individual color your opinion of a town that is populated by thousands.
I have a couple of friends who live in Cary who I knew long before we moved here. They are hilarious, generous, wonderful, loving people. The fact that they live in Cary is purely coincidental because they'd be that fabulous no matter where they lived ... just as the annoying jerks would be just as jerky no matter where they lived.
Cary Stands Proud And No City Angry Zombies Can Tear It Down!!!

Oh, and the clone's term was SeattleToday
Good my points from my friend known as "clone". As any objective observer can see at this point, non Cary posters feel it is 100% fine to insult the town of Cary and it's people. We don't go out and solicit their rude comments. All we have to do is create a thread or make a post stating something nice about Cary and then the fangs come out. They can't stand the way of life here and they are filled with hatred and rage. God forbid that the residents of Cary actually stand up and defend their town. It makes me never want to leave our little section of paradise. But whenever I walk away from this computer, I always remember the fact that the "normal" people of Chapel Hill, Durham, Raleigh and yes even Seattle are actually very nice. The people filled with attitude, hatred, rage and jealousy that feel the need to degrade someone else and force their opinion upon them, usually reside in the blogasphere.

Not all of us. I don't live in Cary and I certainly have not said anything hateful about the town nor its residents. There are a number of other non-Cary residents on this board who have not said negative things, either. Don't let the voices of the few represent the majority.

You have never said anything negative. You are a very nice person. And I agree that it is a very few bad apples, they just happen to be posters. I know this when I walk away from the computer and actually interact with people. I think I need to do more of that.

I agree. The Town of Cary, and its cheerleaders, are much better at making enemies than they are making friends.
