Good job, best of luck with the new boat. Last week we were catching a bunch of trout in the back yard. Had a good run of them for 5 or 6 days. They're gone now, water temp back in the 70s.

That's better luck than I had. They don't make a big enough skunk flag that I could have sailed off of my boat. The East Wall was dead Tuesday.

Ethanol?? I placed "regular" fuel (meaning non-recreational gas) in my boat a few years ago. A month or so afterwards I could start the motor but not run it under load or at high speed even in neutral. Ends out that the ethanol ate the lining of my fuel line up and clogged it; looked kind of like atherosclerosis of the fuel line. Thankfully none of the goo got past the fuel filter in my engine.

In anticipation to my move to North port from Bismarck ND, I would like to start watching for sales and deals on fishing tackle to make the time pass by. lol
Anyhow, it seems like the Diawa BG spinning reels are a good choice for the money, but what about rods? Are there any rods that are looked at as being good choice for the money? Thanks

I keep my 17 foot Key West at Harbor at Lemon Bay in Englewood. There are some really nice grass flats across the bay. I was skunked last Friday, fished all the way down to Stump Pass. I usually catch a few. Water seemed very murky after the big rain.

Hopefully taking the kayak out tomorrow and try the Upper Myakka in North Port.

Harbor water 76 degrees yesterday. Trolled for Spanish Macs by the Cape Haze reef yesterday with my brother. Caught about 15, all released. Then it was Miller time with a late lunch at the Lazy Flamingo in Bokelia.
