All dives are weather dependent.
Participants should bring gloves, a knife, a few extra pounds of weights, a dive’s flag and a tank of air. To reserve your spot, sign up your team, register your vessel or for more information, call Capt. Don Voss at 772-528-0675 or find the Marine Cleanup Initiative Facebook page.

the Treasure Coast Waterway Cleanup has been encouraging residents to come together and clean up 125 miles of waterways on the Treasure Coast. The 10th annual event will take place from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday.
The annual cleanup is conducted by the Marine Industries Association of the Treasure Coast and sponsored by the Florida Inland Navigation District. More than 7,500 volunteers have participated since the first cleanup and have removed more than 67 tons of trash from Treasure Coast Waterways.
Volunteers of all ages are welcome to attend, and while boaters are encouraged to participate with their vessel, you do not need to have a boat to volunteer. There are opportunities for non-boaters to help clean up the areas surrounding the waterways and help is needed at the check-in and disposal sites. If you plan to enjoy a day on the water or at the beach with your family this weekend, consider starting off by teaching your kids to do their part to help make our waterways cleaner and safer. Students can receive community service hours for participation.
There are six locations to choose from in Martin County: Sandsprit Park, Jensen Beach Causeway, Jimmy Graham Boat Ramp in Hobe Sound, Indian RiverSide Park Boat Ramp, and Stuart Causeway Boat Ramp. All volunteers will receive a T-shirt and an invitation to a volunteer recognition barbecue in August. Volunteers must register by visiting www.tcwaterwaycleanup.com - Home or calling 772-285-1646.

Participants, both human and canine, are encouraged to dress for the theme, which is “Wizard of Paws”. Prizes will be awarded for best dressed, and I can’t wait to see pictures.
The event takes place from 6 p.m. until 11 p.m., and the $30 advance ticket ($35 at the door) includes VIP entry and a beverage at each of the five downtown Stuart dog friendly crawl stops. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. in the downstairs waterfront section of Mulligans Beach House Bar and Grill at 131 S.W. Flagler Ave. From there, crawlers will proceed to Spritz City Bistro, Vine and Barley Stuart and Sneaki Tiki, ending their night at the Crafted Keg where costume contest and raffle winners will be announced.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome to attend, but must be kept on a nonretractable leash. Proceeds benefit the shelter animals at the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast in Palm City.
