On Saturday, Summer Crush Vineyard and Winery will host its annual Adult Egg Hunt
The winery opens at 11 a.m., and guests are encouraged to arrive by noon to pick up their tickets and learn the rules. This year’s hunt will begin promptly at 12:30 p.m. (with three different start times for those older than 50 years old going first, then ladies between the ages of 30 and 50, followed by everyone else) and will feature a post-hunt party from 1 to 4 p.m. (free of charge), with music by East Harbor Band and food by Polito Catering and Famous Wings. Tickets are $8 per person in advance (must be 21 years or older) and $10 the day of the event. Ticket price does not include food. On Sunday, a special Easter Brunch will be 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. There will be music by Mr. Vince Love from Melbourne, who will play easy listening music, Motown, soft rock and jazz. rhe buffet is all you can eat and includes scrambled eggs, sausage, home fries, a carving station with ham, bagels and cream cheese, a seafood bar with local oysters, chilled shrimp, seared ahi tuna, smoked salmon and fish dip, fresh fruit, a s’mores station, an omelet station and much more. The buffet is $25 if purchased before the event or $27.50 the day of the event. Brunch tickets for children younger than 12 years old are $15 or $20 the day of the event. There also will be mimosas and wine-based Bloody Marys for sale.

Celebrate Earth Day
A day of music, vendors, activities, educational exhibits and food is planned from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Riverview Park, 600 U.S. 1 in Sebastian. The festival, in its 10th year, also includes a K-9 demonstration and a bike giveaway. Admission and parking are free.

There's a guided hike of Bluefield Ranch Preserve at 30501 Bluefield Ranch Road in Port St. Lucie from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday. Guides will take you through Bluefield’s open expanses, hidden hammocks and scrub habitats to enjoy the setting sun, view the rising moon and teach you about the history of Florida moonshiners.

early-morning hike, join the St. Lucie County’ Environmental Resources Department for a 1.25-mile hike through Spruce Bluff Preserve at 611 S.E. Dar Lane in Port St. Lucie. Guides and walkers will be learning about native wildflowers from 9 to 11 a.m. Sunday. There is no charge for the hikes, recommended for those age 12 and older, but registration is required. The downtown Stuart Craft Festival is 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. About 100 artists will line Osceola Street selling pet products, pottery, jewelry, green market items and more with prices ranging from $3 to $3,000. Admission is free and leashed pets are welcome.

WEEKEND -SUNDAY APRIL 30TH

There’s a new festival in town. Enjoy food, wine, cocktails and craft beer at The Flavors of Indian River Festival at both the indoor and outdoor pavilions of the Indian River Fairgrounds, 7955 58th Ave., Vero Beach. The event is noon to 5 p.m. Sunday and showcases the cuisine of chefs from the Osceola Bistro, Bent Pine Golf Club and about a dozen other local eateries. Top Chef-style cooking competitions, a large kids zone and live music round out the inaugural festival which benefits the Hope for Families Center. It's the third year for the Dirty River Jam, a benefit for organizations dedicated to stopping the Lake Okeechobee discharges, and the all-day event once again will be at Terra Fermata, 26 S.E. Sixth St., Stuart. Known for its live music and variety of craft beers and wine, the outdoor venue also will have a dunk tank, chili cook-off, educational booths and a kids corner. The event is family-friendly and open to all ages from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday and admission is free during those hours. At 6 p.m. the event becomes adult-only and there is a $10 cover charge.

The LGBT community has been celebrating lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender culture and pride at PrideFest for 13 years. This year, the festival is noon to 6 p.m. Sunday at South County Regional Stadium, 560 N.W. University Blvd., Port Saint Lucie. DJs, dancers, live performers, food and drinks and vendors will fill the afternoon’s schedule. Admission is $3. Parking is free. Pets and smoking are not permitted at the venue.

The first weekend in May brings us Cinco de Mayo, the Kentucky Derby and SunFest. There's lots of other fun to be had, too.

The Inaugural [b]Treasure Coast Tourism Showcase[/B], a coordinated effort by St. Lucie, Indian River and Martin county tourism departments, will be 10 a.m.-3 p.m. May 20 at the Havert L. Fenn Center, 2000 Virginia Ave. in Fort Pierce. The three counties have teamed together to present unique things to do and see in the area such as hotels, restaurants, tour guides, attractions and more. This would be an ideal event to attend to explore new places to take the family.

SUNFEST !!
SunFest, West Palm Beach's annual music and arts festival, starts tonight, and there's some pretty big names on the bill for 2017.
Friday: Rappers Flo Rida and Fetty Wap perform, and Ziggy Marley, son of the late Bob Marley, brings some reggae beats to the festival.
Saturday: Performers begin playing at 1 p.m. and include Magic City Hippies, Night Ranger, Breaking Benjamin, Loverboy and 3 Doors Down.
Sunday: The final day, Ambrosia and Christopher Cross perform some nostalgic soft rock hits as alternative rockers Blink 182 and singer/guitarist Steve Winwood hit up the stages at night.

Fort Pierce on Saturday. Competitive teams will begin roasting whole pigs at 5 a.m. for the second annual roast off at the Sailfish Brewery at 130 N. Second St. in Fort Pierce.
The succulent event is noon-10 p.m. with judging at 5 p.m. The day includes plenty of country and bluegrass music by bands such as B'tween Waters, Thunder Grass and the Billy Gilmore Trio. Admission is free but if you want to be a judge and taste all the slow-roasted deliciousness, it’s $20.

Bobby and The Blisters have been performing on the Treasure Coast for more than 20 years. The band has a free concert 4-7 p.m. Sunday at the outdoor amphitheater, adjacent to Tuckahoe Mansion at Indian RiverSide Park at 1707 N.E. Indian River Drive in Jensen Beach. Bring a lawn chair and get there early to get a spot front and center. Cocktails, soft drinks and food will be available to purchase.

Newcomers and history buffs might want to take note of Stuart Heritage Day.
Seven historic buildings will be open for tours from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Pick up a map at the Stuart Heritage Museum at 161 S.W. Flagler Ave. in Stuart and head out on foot or tram for the self-guided tour. Historic displays will be set up at the old Stuart Bank (now Vine & Barley), The Lyric Theatre and others.

national "Star Wars" Day but the St. Lucie Mets are celebrating Saturday with "Star Wars” Night at First Data Field at 525 N.W. Peacock Blvd. in Port St Lucie. Dress as your favorite “Star Wars” character. The Mets players will wear be wearing "Star Wars" jerseys they will sign and auction after the game against the Fort Myers Miracle. The rock painting movement still is popular and kids can paint and hide rocks at the event.

The Stuart Sailfish Regatta roars into town at speeds up to 170 mph this weekend at the Stuart Causeway. The high-speed power boats will race 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Sunday. Bring a lawn chair, sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses and an umbrella for shade. Coolers, pets, scooters, bikes and outside food is not permitted. Tickets are $15 in advance at Seacoast Banks and online at Home | Stuart Sailfish Regatta | Stuart Causeway: Stuart, FL. Tickets will be $20 at the gate. VIP packages are available for $60. Free air-conditioned shuttle service will be offered to those who park at Witham Field.

Saturday is Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Jonathan Dickinson State Park, 16450 S.E. U.S. 1 in Hobe Sound. The free, family event will have experts out on a variety of trails to help newcomers get comfortable with the sport. All you need is close-toed shoes, a bike and a helmet. Coaster bike riders, those on training wheels and adults can give it a try. Refreshments, lunch, T-Shirts and raffles are part of the fun. Registration is encouraged so everyone gets what they need. PADDLE WITH YOUR POOCH! There’s a community paddle Sunday morning on the Indian River Lagoon and dogs are encouraged to float along. The fur-friendly event is hosted by Orchid Island Dog Spa & Resort and Paddles by the Sea, who will provide lessons, if needed. Cost is $30 for adults and $20 for seniors and children. MEMORIAL WEEKEND

The Reverence Motorcycle Association is hosting several remembrance events in Martin County over the holiday weekend.
This club is to be commended for the good work it does to recognize and honor those who serve our community and our country. The organization, made up of retired and active law enforcement, military and first responders and their family members, honors fallen soldiers, provides escorts and welcome-home missions and helps families of law enforcement and service members who are in need during the holidays. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, the group will give away personal American flags at ABC Fine Wine & Spirits at 1492 S.E. Federal Highway in Stuart. It also will be available to provide information about programs for local veterans.

On Monday, the motorcycle club will join hundreds of other veterans groups, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, high school bands and performance groups, law enforcement and car clubs for the Stuart Memorial Day Parade hosted by the Veteran’s Council of Martin County. The parade will begin at 10 a.m. on East Ocean Boulevard at Southeast Amerigo Avenue and end at Memorial Park, with a ceremony at 11 a.m.


If you’re still looking for a fun activity to enjoy over the long weekend, consider taking a scenic sail on the St. Lucie River aboard the Schooner Lily. The final sailing day of the season is June 1, so act quickly if you want to book one of the few spots left. Families will enjoy the morning or afternoon adventure, while the sunset sail is the perfect way for couples to spend a romantic evening on the water. Trips last from one and a half to two hours and depart from the Stuart Riverwalk Pier, which provides the perfect opportunity for a meal and shopping in downtown Stuart before or after your sail. The Space Coast Symphony Orchestra closes its season 3 p.m. Sunday with The Cosmos at the Vero Beach High School Performing Arts Center at 1707 16th St. in Vero Beach. The multimedia program will open with a 20-minute work featuring a special guest narrator and highlight the history of flight, including breathtaking images of astronomical wonders. PORT ST. LUCIEGet ready to jump around. And swing from a trapeze, dive into a foam ball pit, climb a rock wall and complete an "American Ninja Warrior"-style obstacle course.
These are just some of the features at the new Flying Panda Extreme Air Sports park that opened Friday in Port St. Lucie. There’s also a trampoline dodgeball arena, basketball hoops, a parkour area — obstacle course training, challenges and stunt work — and a large slide at the 30,000-square-foot park.
The park is at 440 N.W. Peacock Blvd. in the former Thunderskate, an indoors skating rink that closed in 2005, and what was last a catering hall and warehouse. It's across the street from First Data Field, the spring training home of the New York Mets.

If you’d like to take a moment to honor veterans, there are a few events to choose from.

Vero Beach: A Memorial Day ceremony starts at 9 a.m. Monday at Veterans Memorial Island Sanctuary, adjacent to Riverside Park at 3001 Riverside Drive. Two other patriotic remembrance events are scheduled for 4 p.m. Monday at Cox-Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home Chapel at 1950 20th St. and the Vero Beach Elks Lodge at 1350 26th St. The elks are serving refreshments and admission is $9.

Sebastian: Earl’s Hideaway at 1405 Indian River Drive will honor veterans with a weekend full of big name blues artists. A veterans ceremony, with a 21–gun salute and wreath laying, will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at the riverside venue, followed by a butterfly release in memory of all lost loved ones. Port St. Lucie: A Memorial Day Service will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at Veterans Memorial Park, 2100 S.E. Veterans Memorial Parkway.

Fort Pierce: The Navy Seal Museum at 3300 N. SR A1A will pay tribute to veterans starting at 8 a.m. Monday

Stuart: The Memorial Day parade starts 10 a.m. Monday with a flyover by the sheriff’s department. Friday Fest
Kick off the weekend on the waterfront at Marina Square, located at 1 Avenue A in Fort Pierce.
Friday Fest goes from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. and includes the Southern Vine Band that will cover songs from just about every music genre. In addition to the food and drink vendors, there will be arts and crafts and children’s activities.

How about getting in shape and learning a new skill for free? Saturday is Learn to Row Day at the The Treasure Coast Rowing Club’s boathouse, 771 S.W. 28th St. in Palm City. The free event goes is 8 a.m.-1 p.m and includes some instruction indoors on the machine and out on the water. Participants must be at least 12 years old.

World Ocean Day is June 8 but the St. Lucie County Aquarium at 420 Seaway Drive on South Hutchinson Island in Fort Pierce will celebrate from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday with behind the- scenes tours, crafts and other activities, all centered around the ocean.
Wear water shoes or old sneakers for the seining demonstrations, which will be at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. See Smithsonian researchers sampling techniques for study of the of the Indian River Lagoon and observe some of the tiniest creatures alive under a microscope. The first 50 children, 12 years old and younger, will receive a free gift bag and each paid visitor will receive a free pass for a future visit to the Aquarium. The pass expires Aug. 30.
Admission is $4 for adults, $3 for seniors (55 and older) and children 4 to 17 years old. Children younger than 4 enter for free. Additional parking can be found between the aquarium and the history center.

Music at the mansion
With the Indian River Lagoon as the backdrop, The Sierra Band will take the amphitheater stage from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Indian RiverSide N.E. Indian River Drive in Jensen Beach.
Along with classic rock, there will be soft drinks and food available for purchase. Admission is free but you can purchase VIP tickets for $25. It’s gonna get a little racy Sunday at The Kilted Mermaid, 1937 Old Dixie Highway in Vero Beach with Drag Queen Bingo from 7 to10 p.m. There will be bawdy drag queens, racy humor and yes, even a few games of bingo. However, this is not your grandmother’s bingo. The R-rated bingo cards are $2 each or five for $5.
