HEAT has been significantly expanded in 2009.

Expansion of the Medicare Fraud Strike Force has been a key component of HEAT. Strike Force Teams initially began in Miami in 2007 and expanded to Los Angeles in 2008. Since the formation of HEAT, the Strike Force has expanded further to Detroit; Houston; Brooklyn, N.Y.; Baton Rouge, La.; and Tampa Bay, Fla..To date, Strike Force teams have obtained indictments of more than 500 individuals who collectively have falsely billed the Medicare program for more than $1 billion dollars.

The 2010 report has the 2009 numbers. You're right..the 2010 Trustee report is not out yet.
The latest one I saw was 2009 with 2008 numbers.

Medicare Fraud Enforcement Efforts Recovered $2.5 Billion In 2009

WASHINGTON — The government says it recovered $2.5 billion in overpayments for the Medicare trust fund last year as the Obama administration focused attention on fraud enforcement efforts in the health care industry.

Investigators have new tools this year to help crack down on health care fraud, with the Justice Department and the Health and Human Services Department working cooperatively to police companies. The newly enacted Affordable Care Act is designed to lengthen prison sentences in criminal cases and the new law provides an additional $300 million over the next 10 years for stronger enforcement. It also gives the government new authority to step up oversight of companies participating in Medicare and Medicaid.
Well, finally something I can get on board with.

OK so that goes back to the original question. Are the results any better? How much was spend year over year and was the recovery rate any greater. If they don't spell it out it probably isn't any different. That is something they would crow about.

Conservatives/Republicans/right-wingers sure like to complain about good results under the Obama administration! Do you want Obama to fail also?

My goodness I asked a simple question and you immediatly run for cover? I couldn't care less if Obama succeeds or fails. I care that the country moves forward. We are being saddled with insurrmountable debt and people are crowing about trivia. obama is pretty much irrelevent. We have to survive 8 years of him at the most but how long will his legacy of crippling debt last?

I gave up... jojajn is more interested in taking a defensive stance "for Obama" than he is about discussing facts... He asked for governmental reports, and when I gave them to him, he wants to tell me they dont say what they say as if he's more of an expert on the issue than Medicare themself.

See what I mean? As if ANYONE complained.. which we havent.. it seems jojajn doesnt understand the difference between "good things" and reality, as if Obama has something to do with an event which has been taking place since the beginning of time..
