while there can be merits to the abuse of most any food, or even effects to some individuals who have moderate amounts of something, the key thing about the article is what the alleged effect is, not that it might have one.

That is where WND shines.

GuyPinestra, did you even bother to read the links I posted?
The condition is called hypospadias.
In that study, the total number of boys born (to vegetarian mothers) with this defect was 7. And other information relating to the study was conveniently left out.

I think you and I can agree that not everyone in the government (especially our present administration) is looking out for our welfare. But in our horror of the government, let's not deliberately overlook other smokescreens.

"The Whole Soy Story" is a hyperbole-filled manifesto from people who publish stuff such as The Cholesterol Myths and Eat Fat, Lose Weight.
These people have an axe to grind--well, just read this:

[Fallon writes] that "breast milk is best IF the mother has consumed a …diet…rich in animal proteins and fat throughout her pregnancy and continues to do so while nursing her child."

Why would someone make a statement like that? Where are these soy antagonists coming from? What are they trying to prove?

Becoming soy-a-holics and automatically downing anything made from soybeans is not the road to health, but neither is shunning and stigmatizing soyfoods.
