Limbaugh has black friends and associates, any player that would actually make a public comment insinuating Limbaugh is a racist is just perpetuating the stereotype of football players being morons.

Not only is it a racist statement, but it shows how little Porky knows about football.
That was not racist. What was racist was the newsmedia overhyping him based upon his race. Rush even said he thought McNabb was a good quarterback but no where near the hype the press had made him out to be and his numbers on the field have proven Rush right in that regard.

Well, the Head of the NFL Players Union opposes Limbaugh's bid..or is he a moron too? Or perhaps you think all blacks are morons?

Think Progress » Head of NFL players union opposes Limbaugh’s bid: Sports are meant to reject ‘discrimination and hatred.’

No, but I think at least half of of the NFL players should go back to high school to earn their graduation or at least show they can read something more than "Dick and Jane".

He said McNabb was a good quarterback but was not as good as the press had initially made him out to be. Some how that statement was twisted around to him being a racist. Some people who called him a racist never saw the video of his statement and judged him based upon their hatred of him or what was said of him in the press who generally hate him.
The reason people thought that comment to be racist is because it was. You forgot to point out the reason Rush claimed the media hyped McNabb 'the media was looking for a black Quarterback to succeed'. If Limbaugh simply stated he thought McNabb was overrated it would have been the end of it, and it would not have created a controversy. However, Rush was the one that interjected race into the conversation, not the media.

Limbaugh didn't even have to bring race into it...do you hear any of the other NFL commentators claiming players are overrated due to race? Of course not...Limbaugh's a racist fat drug addled pig. He was fired from ESPN for a reason.

Let me tell you that if the team did go belly up the famous Rush will still be able to afford whatever he wants and when he wants.

I know you do not like it but the man is filthy rich and buying a football team wont effect his money much if at all.

Stop being so jealous of Rush.

If black players wont play for him then it will just show how stupid they are. Rush is not a racist person at all and in most cases the smart ones will play for him because they are not filled up hate and racist themselves.
There are, at last count, quite a few people here on this forum, off this forum, in the NFL, CIA, FBI, the Texas Rangers, the US Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, the Rocky and Bullwinkle Fan Club, and even on the international Space Station, who have better things to do with their time than to even stoop to being jealous of a pompous, pea-brained, 8th rate, utterly clueless and UNTALENTED walking-wind-machine like Rush Limbaugh...

I can't go so far as to label him a racist, because that word is thrown about like dough at a pizza parlor, and it's very tiresome to hear it from either side...however, I HAVE listened to some of his remarks having to do with dealing with minorities, and I'll say that if I was in jail and needing to be bailed out, I'd call Ghostbusters before I would him...

Here's hoping that the NFL does exercise a modicum of caution in their dealings with him, and politely tells him 'no thanks---now be a good windbag and go play in traffic somewhere'...

How exactly did the news media over hype McNabb because of his race? What evidence to you have that any overhyping of McNabb was due to his race?? McNabb's career numbers are quite good, his INT ratio at the time Rush made those comments were the 3rd lowest in NFL History. McNabb is a great QB and has been from some time, and this is coming from a DIEHARD Giant fan who hates the Eagles with a passion.

It's not only that he was fired from ESPN for making racist comments but he obviously knows nothing about football from his McNabb comments. Why would any player want to join an already horrible team and then deal with a know nothing about football owner. He can't pay ever player the maximum salary.
