That's funny--the VFW has no problems burning flags in public.
I think it was the fact that he took their flag down from the flagpole and burned it, if he brought his own, I doubt the reaction would have been the same.
The VFW burns other people's flags for them...but they'd have a problem if they burned their own, at home, without their little ceremony.
That's not the point here. Someone took a flag off of their pole that they had no intention of burning and burnt it, thus detroying their property.
