Didn't they give the guy the option to go one on one with one of the vets? Too bad that didn't happen, the punk needed a good case of whup-a$$ dumped on him.

I'd sue them for assault.
This is the US and it is absolutely legal to burn a flag.
It's a piece of cloth (manufactured in China most likely).

So he was just another drunken vet.

What a stupid story.

************************************************** ********

Don't know if he was a vet or just a patron. To paraphrase Mark Twain, man is the only animal dumb enough to kill one another over a piece of colored cloth.

Too bad you didn't read the story.

That VFW was open to the public, he wasn't a member. The flag in question was the property of the VFW. The little dwebe didn't bring his own flag and burn it for some political statement.

The guy was given a choice, we call the cops, you go one on one with one of the vets, or get taped to the flag pole. It was his choice not to go to the cops.

To burn a flag at a VFW hall of all places is the height of indecency. Members have put their lives on the line, and all too often seen friends and comrades die for this country, symbolized by that flag. The little turd was awfully lucky. Around here we have lots of open land, he might never have been seen again.

ROFL How dumb can anyone be? Burning a flag that belongs to a VFW?
He got off pretty light. Had he done it where I live the options would have been different.
1. Take on a battle hardened vet.
2. Take on 2 battle hardened vet.
3. Take home one of their wives for a night.

You must not have seen the video so I'll give you some highlights. This was not his flag to burn. The flag belonged to the VFW and so it qualifies as destruction of private property. The flag flew over a foxhole which contained several soldiers who did not make it out alive. It was flown over the VFW in their memory.

Can't beat somebody willing to publically let it be known they were a drunken as*h***.
You can bet, in this small area, his identity isn't unknown.

Wasn't his flag. He could be charged with a felony for burning property not belonging to him.

Sounds like a good option to me. I am for bringing back the town square stocks to shame such scumbags.

I HIGHLY doubt that will happen, that's a waste of time & money.
