ABout a decade ago, Democrats were contemplating reinstitution the "Fairness Doctrine" in Broadcasting to limit the presumed influence of Conservatives. Republicans flipped a fit, and the Democrats backed off...at least that is how history reported it. Actually, Democrats conned Republicans into abandoning the "Fairness Doctrine," and then proceeded to take over the airwaves with "progressive" and "liberal" biased programming. Now, the Republicans WISH they had gone along with the Fairness Doctrine, which would have made sure that the broadcast networks aired equal amounts of liberal and conservative programming.

To me it was sacrilege. I was equally appalled when people like Feinstein, Durbin, Schumer, and Pelosi advocated for the 'Fairness Doctrine' to censor right wing radio.
If there is one thing left and right should be able to agree upon, it is the right to free expression.
When are we going to do something about all the Nazis and racist that have taken over the AM band of the radio? It is no wonder we are seeing racist attacks and abortion doctors being murdered when you have people on the radio like Hannity, Limbaugh, Savage, Gallager and the like on there all the time spewing hate at certain segments of the country and the President. It is time to start bringing back some balance on the radio by reimposing the Fairness Doctrine.

Another expense of a public education gone to waste
1. Get a group of left-wing talkers who are not totally boring and grating on the nerves.
2. Put the leftists on the air to counter the Nazi hate-talkers!!!!!!
