Why are Democrats so gung-ho about censorship and shutting down the other side of the argument? Their anti-free-speech stance is so un-American that it's more offensive than anything Limbaugh has ever said.

For goodness sake, turn it off if you don't like it. I don't listen to cable tv news anymore because I think it all stinks. I'd like to listen to Dennis Miller or Bill Bennett on the radio, but in my market they come on either too early or too late. The other's are more popular and get the good time slots. It's a hoot that you want to shut down free speech, it's not going to happen.
Hanity, makes the most sense , he states the pure facts. Fox News simply states the truth. I don't see any hate spread at all by Fox News.
I see this is probably your first post or one of your first posts. The thread you dredged up is from 2009 and with no new information added you got everyone all going off again. This particular forum runs on current stuff. Just think about it next time.
Just today some racist attacked the Halocaust Museum because he doesn't like the Jews. Immigrants have been attacked, blacks have been attacked, abortion docs killed in church and at home and there is little doubt in my mind that much of this is encouraged by talk radio and its venomous right wing extreme host.
You left off attacks on gays, old people, whites, Hispanics, Germans, Englishmen, Mormons, Catholics, tax payers, mothers, fathers, etc, etc. Does right wing radio make people attack them too?
suggest pro obama folks take a moment to reconsider what they wish to post, a little forethought might gain them some believability.
For instance here we have Hoffa clearly calling for violence as Obama then steps up to the same podium and says not a word about the type of rhetoric that made Nancy Pelosi warn of the consequences of words leading to violence.
If right wing violence and hate speech comes form AM radio, from where does left wing violence emmanate? It appears there is no reliance on a limited AM audience as the left's violence comes directly from Obama and people who closely associate with him. This link is a classic left wing call for violence that deeans women while they are at it. Obama backs the 'wall st pros' that epitomize violence.....bet no one on that side listens to AM radio.
"Despite President Obama's repeated claims to change the tone in Washington, the White House had no comment this afternoon after Teamsters Union leader James Hoffa, speaking at an event before President Obama, said of Tea Party activists that, come November, Democrats should "take these sons of ******* out."

Everywhere else, I'd say. Pick your poison. It's easy to brand right-wing media as dangerous, hateful and playing on fear when the left has become so entrenched in controlling the social paradigm.
In their world, left-leaning bias is actually centrist (hence the "reality has a liberal bias" mantra). With the paradigm shifted in the favor of the left by news, television, movies, magazines, etc., it's easy to portray the right as the fringe when you control the narrative. When was the last time a tv show or movie portrayed a Christian positively instead of as a dangerous lunatic? When as the last time a gay character was portrayed negatively?). I can't watch the Simpsons anymore without getting turned off by it's recent subtle shift to the left. Liberals can't even name a news network with a Liberal slant because they've been duped about where the middle ground actually lies. In their minds, Fox and talk radio are extreme right, while everything else is centrist and fair.
With this shift in place, those left of center now see themselves as moderate or slightly left-leaning. They agree with the views of the women on The View or Jon Stewart. They find the anti-conservative, anti-Christian hate speech on Family Guy to be funny and deserved. They think Bill Maher is brilliant. However, they don't see the shift because they were already on that side. With their beliefs reinforced by the media (which is a reflection of our society), the middle ground has been artificially shifted, therefore it's easy to portray church-going families, business owners and our military as the dangerous impediments to the progressive utopia awaiting on the other side. This leads to dangerously brainwashed people open to violence, justified by their desire for the society they want to live in.

Interesting that you chose a three year old thread for your first post.
For those people who feel that they must "do something" about talk radio...try turning it off.
